Mississippi Cream Peas

I love the beautiful double flowers on these peas. They open
downward. Before the buds open, they are yellow. They open to
these double white flowers.

The first of the Mississippi Cream peas. I cannot wait to eat them.

  1. Lucky you. When did you plant? I do not have flowers on my pink eye purple hulls yet.

    1. For some reason, I didn't write it down in my journal when I planted these. I did write down that they came up through the soil on 5/4/12. I would guess that I planted them about the first of May.

  2. I just got some MCP seedlings from a local certified organic nursery and am planting them tomorrow. Are they bush plants or do they need to climb?

    1. You are quite welcome. I hope they do well for you. They have done better than I could have imagined in my yard.

      Thanks for stopping by.
