  1. Frozen blueberries are one of my favorite snacks. I sometimes eat them with cottage cheese [yes, still frozen]. Sometimes add some chopped mint and pecans to it.

Sometimes I just eat the frozen berries.

    Looks like a great haul!

    1. That's the way I love them, too. I eat them in my oatmeal, and just eat the frozen ones straight from the freezer. :)

  2. Wow that would take up a lot of my freezer space. But I'd be happy about it. I've never been blueberry picking except when just out in the wild and mother nature can be stingy. Though they do grow all over in our area, they are the tiny ones that you have to bend over for.

    1. To reach these, I had to reach above my head and push into the blueberry bushes. It does take up a lot of my freezer space, but I love them and it's worth it. Last year, I didn't do it and regretted it all year.

  3. Would love to have all those blueberries in my freezer but wouldn't love picking them! Good for you! Not up to doing that anymore. We usually buy some to freeze. Nancy

    1. It was 3 hours of hard picking, but I needed the exercise and it was nice to be out there. And one day's hard work yields an entire year of blueberries for my oatmeal, so it's worth it to me. When I am eating blueberries in December, I won't even remember the effort it took to make it happen. :)

The only thing I wish is that I could convince my kids to help me, but they don't like that much hard work. They'll come, but want to be done in just a little while.

  4. Wow. Good work, Cristy. I've never visited a you-pick farm. We don't have many around here. My sister is a fan though.

    1. Thanks, Beth. I love you-pick farms, but mainly visit this blueberry farm and simply go to farmer's markets for the rest. :)
